Police in Alaska say a woman upset about an impending break-up with her boyfriend cut off his penis and flushed it down a toilet. Utility workers recovered the severed body part and surgeons reattached it.

The woman is charged with first-degree assault, domestic violence and tampering with evidence. She's being held without bail pending arraignment Monday.
