Dr. Arndt had a drug problem, not to mention poor taste in pinatas.
Arndt lost his license to practice medicine in Massachusetts in 2002 after abandoning a patient on an operating room table at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge to run to the bank.
A year later, he was making frequent trips to Manhattan to buy crystal methamphetamine. In addition, he had two pounds of the inhibition-abandoning stimulant shipped to the Chandler Inn in Boston from Los Angeles, packed in a penis-shaped pinata.
