Okay, so I lied. This blog is not really about castration. I just wanted to make all the boys cringe.

Keeping checking his blog for future posts as he promises to tackle such happy topics as the coming collapse of California through drought, riot, quake, tsunami, etc; the looming terrorist threat in Europe, and soccer. What the hell do you expect from a man who made a movie about castration?

I posted awhile back a short bit about how I was castrated. Here are some facts. It was done a few years ago, in my mid 20's. From my understanding of biology, the fact that it was done well after puberty make a big difference. My voice is not any higher. I still grow a beard. I can even still have sex/masturbate.

It's a groovy class ...or at least it would be if my instructor didn't have some strange penis phobia. She won't talk about it unless she is forced by the context of the text and even then she turns bright red and mumbles quite a bit for someone with a BS in nursing..

This is, in fact the main fault of the film; all the women in Sin City are defined solely in terms of their male counterparts, and the men are defined solely in terms of the violence they visit upon their enemies. Meaningless sex and meaningless Violence are all there is in Sin City, both acting solely as as expression of impotent frustration against the omnipotent Rourke regime.
